As of November 1st, 2015, the resort opened a new era with some new layout following a 6 months extensive upgrade. Our legendary Banyan Tree Phuket now turned into an all-pool villa resort with the addition of large pools into our Banyan Pool Villas. 

Water Court All-Day dining has been brought to the ground floor with the addition of a seafood section and private salas within the garden and facing the lagoon.
A perfect al fresco experience with the ‘latino touch’ brought by Alfonso De La Dehesa, new Executive Chef.

The Saffron Thai restaurant, crown jewel and signature restaurant of the brand has now been relocated with the addition of a new and indoor area. Chef Renu has developed some new local specialties which you can taste while enjoying the Phuket nights.

Alternative dining options are still available at Tamarind Japanese restaurant, Tré French-Vietnamese restaurant and Banyan Café by the golf.

Herr Sriram Kailasam ist Senior Assistant Vice President und General Manager des Banyan Tree Phuket, Aushängeschild des Banyan Tree-Konzerns.

Er übernahm diese wichtige Position im März 2012, nachdem er sieben Jahre lang in Bangkok als General Manager für das Banyan Tree Bangkok gewirkt hatte. Davor bekleidete er die Position des Assistant Vice President des Bereichs Speisen und Getränke und trug in der gesamten Hotelgruppe die Verantwortung für das operative Geschäft in diesem Bereich. Er begann im Jahr 2003 als Küchenchef des Banyan Tree Phuket seine Tatigkeit für die Unternehmensgruppe.

Herr Kailasam erwarb seinen Diplomabschluss an der Oberoi School of Management in Indien. Dort begann er auch seine Laufbahn. Vor seinem Wechsel zu Banyan Tree arbeitete er für mehrere internationale Hotelgruppen wie die Starwood Group sowie Stamford Hotels Sydney und Hotel Le Royal (unter der Raffles Hotel Group) in Kambodscha.

Als erfahrener Hotelier blickt Sriram Kailasam auf über 20 Jahre Erfahrung in der Luxushotelbranche zurück und ist ein rundum kompetenter Fachmann, wobei er zusätzliche umfangreiche Erfahrungen bei Voreröffnungen und Projekten unter anderem in Südamerika, Nordafrika, dem Nahen Osten, China und Südostasien sammeln konnte.
