Discover the Mystique of Central Vietnam
Central Vietnam - Home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, weathered mountains, and amazing Lang Co Bay.

The beauty of Central Vietnam lies along its South Central coast, where the Truong Son (Annamite) Mountain Range peaks dominate the skyline and the East Sea lingers in beautiful bays - all testament to the land's geographic past.

History buffs or the culture curious will find visiting the historical cities of Hue, Hoi An and Danang indispensable to understanding and appreciating the charms of Vietnam, as each is infused with the rich legacy of Vietnam’s dynastic past.

An exemplary depiction of a noble feudal capital, Hue’s Complex of Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also a fine representation of late feudal urban planning. While in Hue, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest in Vietnam and savour the local dessert, Che Dau Ngu, a sweet bean soup.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An ancient town is another must-see. The most important trading port in Vietnam till its decline at the end of the 19th century, Hoi An's architecture is predominantly of wood and bears Japanese and Chinese influences. Walk back in time with a stroll on the Japanese Bridge that features a pagoda.

Now the dynamic commercial capital of Central Vietnam, Danang still holds on to vestiges of its past. The Museum of Cham Sculpture located on the banks of the Han River houses an impressive collection of artifacts from the Champa Kingdom.

Ubiquitous in Vietnam is the Ao Dai traditional dress and Non la, a conical hat. Hue is famous for its thinner and lighter “Non bai tho”, or poem hat, where iconic images or verses from famous poems are concealed in the weave, and only visible in sunlight. Factoid Lang Co Bay was inducted into the “The Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club” in 2009.
