Activity Centre

From educational classes in desert flora and fauna to learning how to hunt using falcons and indigenous owls at the world-class falconry centre, guests can participate in a multitude of activities, including horseback-riding, camel safaris and bike trails.

Falconry Mews

Banyan Tree Al Wadi is home to a variety of falcons, hawks, owls & eagles. The Mews is both an indoor & outdoor facility, structured to integrate the highly specialised breeding of indigenous raptors. Enjoy the opportunity to learn more about these regal birds as you appreciate them from up close. The Mews also serves as a training facility, from which we conduct the Middle East’s first and only Falconry Course.

Falconry Deck

Nestled amongst tall Ghaf trees on the crest of a sand dune, this tented, wooden deck provides guests with a panoramic view of Al Wadi Nature Reserve to enjoy the region’s most exclusive & dynamic raptor show.

Archery Range

This ancient art lives on at our Archery range where the specially designed tented deck provides a safe and comfortable environment to try your aim.

Kids’ Club

A dedicated Kids’ Club offers our young guests, aged 4 years and above, an array of exciting, fun and educational activities, such as bedtime stories under the stars and Wii gaming. Filled with hundreds of games & crafts, the Kids’ Club is a haven for children of all ages who wish to explore their creativity as well as learning about nature while picking up new skills.

Conference, Events & Business

Our team of highly-experienced event planners, offering specially-tailored wedding or meeting packages, will make your event a memorable one. Offering an exclusive space for weddings or corporate groups in the desert terrain of Ras Al Khaimah, different setups ranging from theatre seating to banquet tables can be arranged. The conference block offers a venue to hold meetings, events and private functions for up to 150 people.

Library

For your literary pleasure, the library carries a range of classic novels and current magazines. Secretarial assistance, rental of laptops, international and local courier arrangements as well as printing can be arranged through the Library.

Golf Academy

Offering golfers and non- golfers the perfect place to enhance or learn the game, our multi-purpose centre consists of two designated indoor and outdoor studios, giving coach and student the comfort of an indoors environment with the benefits of outdoor ball flights.

Beach Club

The Beach Club offers a selection of recreational activities like snorkelling, water-skiing, wake-boarding and sailing in the shimmering turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf. Schooner-chartering, fishing and scuba-diving trips can also be organised. Guests who prefer to lounge by the private beach may do so in comfort at the Beach Club’s bar.

Nature Reserve

Al Wadi Nature Reserve is Ras Al Khaimah’s first managed protected area and spans 100 hectares of desert in the Ghaf Tree wooded valley of Wadi Khadeeja. Aside from protecting the indigenous fauna and flora that occur in the area, the reserve is also home to three reintroduced indigenous antelope species, namely the Sand gazelle (Rheem), Arabian gazelle (Domani) and the endangered Arabian oryx (Maha). They can often be seen roaming amongst the villas or coming to drink at the Saffron Water hole, without even twitching an ear, as guests stop to admire them up close.

The Stables

Suit-up and head out from The Stables into our tranquil nature reserve, passing Arabian Oryx and Sand Gazelle as they roam the dunes. If you are less confident on horseback, then spend time at our training arena having a lesson or an introduction to riding.

Bird Watching Hide

Positioned adjacent to the Saffron Water Hole, you are able to sit and observe our indigenous wildlife as they come to drink, without disturbing them. Many migratory birds also stop to feed at the waters’ edge en-route to their winter grounds, thousands of miles away.

Khan Zaman Tent

Be taken back in time when you enter our traditional Bedouin tent on the fringe of the nature reserve and head out on a swaying camel to take in the beauty of an Arabian Sunset.
