Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort, Al Areen is only five minutes from the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix Circuit and is close to Al Areen Wildlife Sanctuary - home of the rare Arabian oryx. Located in Zallaq, Al Areen Wildlife Park was opened in 1975 and offers visitors guided tours to the sanctuary where animals are seen in their natural setting.

Fans of motorsport can also access the Formula BMW Racing Center easily from the resort. Test drive a Formula BMW FB2 racing car and get a hardy foundation in racing everything; from saloon cars to the heralded Formula 1.
