General Manager Biography
Mr. Alfonso Romero is the Area General Manager for Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei and Angsana Chongqing Beibei. He joined the team in June 2012 and is responsible for the overall administration, implementation and maintenance of Banyan Tree Group’s service standards.
Mr. Alaracon joined the Banyan Tree Group in May 2011 and was previously the General Manager of Banyan Tree Club and Spa Seoul.
Mr. Alaracon brings over 25 years of experience in hotel management with him and has worked in five star properties across Europe and Asia. He started his career in 1995 as the President Manager of Lanzarote Beach Club & Sirocco in Spain. In 1996, he joined Melia Hotels as the General Manager of Melia Bali before moving on to Melia Benoa, Hua Hin, Hanoi, and Jakarta. Prior to joining the Banyan Tree Group, he was the pre-opening General Manager of Gran Melia Shanghai in China and the Area-Vice President in-charge of seven hotels at Sol Melia Asia Pacific since 2007.
