On 8 August 2017, at 9:19pm, Jiuzhaigou County of Sichuan province experienced an earthquake of magnitude 7. Banyan Tree Jiuzhaigou was not affected by the earthquake which epicentre was about 50km away from the hotel. Operating closely in concert with local authorities as part of our safety and preventive measures, Banyan Tree Jiuzhaigou will be temporarily closed from 15 August 2017.
