Guilin Discovery

Widely regarded as China's most picturesque city, Guilin features two crystal-clear rivers meandering through the area, and is encircled by hills and natural karst limestone formations. Guilin is named after the fragrance of the Osmanthus Tree, and the city saw its first inhabitants during the Qing Dynasty more than 2,000 years ago. The locale enjoyed a period of prosperity during the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, in part due to imperial patronage.

Big Banyan Park

Situated near Gaotian Town along the Jinbao River, seven and a half kilometres south of Yangshuo, the park is a living replica of a perfect oriental silk painting.

Yulong River

Originating at Yangshuo County, the 42.5-kilometre Yulong River has attractions on both banks. The landscapes in the section from Yulong Bridge to Qing'e Ferry are the best.

Lijiang River Cruise

The Lijiang River is the highlight of any journey to Guilin. The 54-kilometre waterway of the twisty Lijiang River between Zhujiang Pier and Yangshuo cuts between thousands of picturesque peaks.

Two Rivers And Four Lakes

The Lijiang River, Taohua River, Shahu Lake, Ronghu Lake, Guihu Lake and the newly dug Mulong Lake are all connected and linked together. With waterway transportation, this comprises Guilin's central round-the-city water system, known as Two Rivers and Four Lakes.

Elephant Trunk Hill

As the emblem of Guilin City, the hill lies at the meeting point of the Peach Blossom and Li Rivers, with Zi Sandbank to the east across the Li.

Reed Flute Cave

Situated at the foot of Guangming Hill in northeastern Guilin, Reed Flute Cave got its name from the reed variety growing just beyond the cave entrance, a variety used to make fine flutes.

Diecai Hill

This area is composed of Silver Hill, Yuyue Hill, Red Crown Crane Hill and Bright Moon Hill. It is named after its traversed rock layers, which resemble a piece of folded brocade.

Fubo Hill

Fubo Hill stands solitarily by the Li River in downtown Guilin. A climb to the top of the hill offers visitors an extensive view of some charming scenery, including the sunrise over Yao Hill with Zizhou Islet enshrouded in the mist and Old Man Hill in the distance.

Seven-Star Park

The park has been officially recognised by the China National Tourism Administration as a superior National Tour Attraction. With an area spanning an unimaginable 134.7 hectares, it is Guilin's largest and most comprehensive parkland. With its long history and lots of attractions, such as Camel Hill, Natural Stone Hall, Seven-Star Cave and Crescent Pavilion, the park has been a highlight since the Sui and Tang Dynasties.

Silver Cave

This cave is found in Maling Town within Lipu County, 20 kilometres from Yangshuo and 85 kilometres from Guilin.

Longji Terraced Fields Of Longsheng County

Longsheng is part of the Greater Guilin area. Its main attraction is the Longji Titian, translated as Longji rice terraces, referred to locally as Dragon Backbones. The hot springs and small mountain villages are also a highlight.

West Street in Yangshuo

Situated in the center of Yangshuo County, West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history spanning more than 1,400 years. Over the past two decades, West Street has become a meeting place for eastern and western cultures, and the biggest Foreign Language Centre in China.
