Mr. Srikant Peri, General Manager, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru
Mr. Srikant Peri is the General Manager- North Malé, responsible for overall operations and profitability for the Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Angsana Ihuru. Srikant has joined the Banyan Tree Group in July 2012 as part of the pre-opening team of this first Banyan Tree resort in India.
Prior to joining Banyan Tree Group, Mr. Peri was the General Manager with the Oberoi Group, last at The Oberoi Cecil, Shimla, in the Indian Himalayas. He has with him over 26 years of working experience in the hospitality industry and has worked with numerous hotel brands such as Taj, Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, The Leela Group, Hilton Worldwide and the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, across various states in India.
After graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management in Mumbai, India in 1988, Mr. Peri started his career as part of a pilot personal butler team at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi, working his way to Assistant Manager of In Room Dining. Following that he joined the Leela Hotel, Palaces and Resorts where he was in-charge of the pre-opening food and beverage teams for their resorts and hotels in Goa and Bengaluru.
Mr. Peri is a "Certified Hotel Administrator" by American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute, having received his certification in 2004 and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Kakateiya University in India.
Srikant is an Indian national and is married with one child. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu and a self-proclaimed theater buff. He likes spending his spare time with his family and pet German shepherd, listening to semi-classical Indian music and keeping abreast of current affairs.
