Architecture

The architecture of the resort is largely inspired by Kerala’s highly stylised Kathakali art, abundant variety of spices and traditional Kerala woodwork. Aesthetic elements ubiquitous in Kerala structures and interiors can be seen throughout the resort.

Architecture

Elaborate woodwork in deep-brown teak can be seen in doors, archways and ceiling carvings of scenes depicting religious epics and flora and fauna. Metalwork in form of the Aranmula metal mirrors and glittering copper wall hangings of Nettippattam are displayed prominently in the main building and villas. Colourful Kathakali artwork, mural paintings and handicrafts of natural coir and cane are also placed in interiors, creating an atmosphere true to the region’s rich cultural history.
