Architrave Design and Planning evoked the traditional lifestyle of old Samui in its design, using coconut palms and shells as a major theme, while maintaining a contemporary sensibility throughout. Virtually all construction materials were made in Thailand, in particular, the pale beige thin, flat roof tiles, typical of traditional Thai houses and temples. Further good practices include use of eco materials where applicable, such as compressed wood in place of solid wood.

Designed for the discerning traveller, each villa is a private retreat set in lush tropical forest greenery. From the moment you step through the front door, it’s clear that every effort has been made to ensure your stay is as quietly luxurious as possible. Here, indoor living spaces flow naturally into outdoor salas, sun-beds and private swimming pools. The décor is a tasteful mix of modern comforts and traditional Thai elements like natural rattan, bamboo furniture and brightly hued Thai silk. Meanwhile, the individual pools are among the largest for a resort at Koh Samui.
