Banyan Tree operates over 20 resorts in more than 20 countries. With 7,000 associates from over 50 nationalities, our diversity presents many opportunities to make a lasting positive impact on the communities and environment in which we operate.
The Green Imperative Fund, established in 2001 to provide financial support for environmental initiatives and community based projects in areas where we have a presence, gives our guests a chance to contribute to worthy causes. Guests can contribute US$2.00 for each night they spend at the hotel, and Banyan Tree will match these contributions, dollar for a dollar, to the fund.
As part of the resort’s corporate social responsibility efforts, a programme to reduce its carbon footprint through managing the resort’s energy, water and waste consumption is in place.
