You can join us in our tireless endeavor towards eco-conservation every time you go on holiday with Banyan Tree's Green Imperative Fund, which has been established in all Banyan Tree resorts to raise funds for community-based environmental action in the Asia Pacific region.

The funds raised will go a long way in saving the turtle population of the Indian Ocean, regenerating the coral reefs in the Maldives, preserving the untouched rainforests of Asia, keeping the cottage crafts of Nepalese women alive, and seeing a child through school in Thailand.

The Green Imperative works on the basis of each resort guest contributing US$2 per room per night to the campaign and the hotel matching that contribution.

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts matches the contribution dollar for dollar! Every guest is naturally at liberty to opt out of this program, otherwise the donation will be automatically charged to the hotel bill. The fund, which is audited by Ernst and Young, can only be utilised for projects that benefit the community or environment.

Through this initiative we hope to increase awareness of the extraordinary biodiversity in Asia Pacific's natural environment, and the need to preserve it for future generations.
