From receptacles to refuse management, water conservation to wood substitutes, every operational aspect in the day-to-day running of Banyan Tree resorts is designed to help protect and preserve our planet.
	We use biodegradable toiletries which come in refillable containers made from celadon or ceramic. Our swimming pools and Jacuzzis use non-chlorinated water. Wastewater is fully treated and recycled to irrigate the landscape and resorts. Refuse is treated in in-house incinerators or collected in a central bin and sorted for recycling. Steel is used in place of wood wherever possible. Even in our spas, we shun hi-tech, energy intensive equipment, relying instead on the human touch and beauty of the natural surroundings to provide deep relaxation for our guests. Through our tireless efforts, we hope to demonstrate that luxury need not come at the expense of the environment.
