Vast hills dotted with orchids, medicinal herbs, and Indian azaleas fill Weixi; the only Lisu autonomous county in China and a land known as the green gem of the Henduan Mountain Range for its abundant natural resources.

Located where the Mekong, Yangtze and Salween rivers meet, Weixi is an important part of Zhongdian, a land better known as Shangri-la.
