Singapore, February 2012–Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts start off the new year on a winning note with four of the group’s properties recently honoured in the 2012 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice® awards. Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Mexico, Banyan Tree Al Wadi in the UAE, Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali and Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru in Maldives all achieved high rankings in their respective categories.                      

 

Now in its tenth year, the annual TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards honour the world’s best hotels as judged by a discerning panel of experts – real travellers. Winners are selected from  millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travellers around the world.

Located on the picturesque shores of Riviera Maya, Mexico’s premier beach destination fronting the Caribbean Sea, Banyan Tree Mayakoba was honoured in three categories, achieving second position for both Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Mexico and Top 25 Relaxation/Spa Hotels in Mexico, and ninth position in the Top 25 Top Hotels in Mexico.  With the distinction of being the first Banyan Tree property to open in the Americas, Banyan Tree Mayakoba has built a strong reputation for guests seeking a rejuvenating, luxurious getaway.
