Seoul, South Korea– Banyan Tree Spa, the award-winning Asian spa operator marked its inaugural presence in South Korea in June 2010, offering spa aficionados a range of time-honoured Asian healing therapies and Korean-inspired treatments for complete rejuvenation. Located on the third floor in the Club building of the newly opened Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul in Seoul’s Namsan district, it is open to the public as well as hotel guests and Club members seeking a getaway in the fast-paced city.

Banyan Tree Spa, like the tropical and sacred tree that inspired its name, is an intimate retreat that blends romance and serenity with exotic sensuality, providing a sanctuary for the senses. A pioneer of the tropical garden spa concept, it is a haven for physical and spiritual renewal. Using a ‘high-touch, low-tech’ approach that celebrates human touch coupled with the use of natural herbs, spices and aromatic oils, the treatments are inspired by Asian traditions that have been passed through the hands of many generations.

Signature Spa Treatments
First-time visitors to Banyan Tree Spa are encouraged to experience The Banyan Indulgences (180-minute session at KRW 450,000+) packages which include Royal Banyan and Banyan Romance. The signature Royal Banyan treatment features the Royal Banyan Herbal Pouch Massage where a herbal pouch dipped in warm Sesame Oil, complements the East-meets-West massage techniques to improve blood circulation and muscular tension. A Jade Face Massage improves skin condition and firms up facial muscles to enhance a glowing complexion.

The Banyan Romance begins with a Korean Green Tea Scrub to renew and nourish the skin, followed by a Sports Massage, which is ideal for improving and toning muscles for better mobility and flexibility. This treatment is completed with the purifying Korean Green Tea Bath.

A signature Banyan Tree Spa innovation, the Tropical Rainmist experience (180-minute session at KRW 380,000++) offers an indulgent combination of Rainmist steam bath and invigorating body treatments. A cascading Rain Shower uplifts the senses and is an ideal prelude to the body treatment that follows. Two unique packages, the Refreshing Sprinkle and Rainmist Romance are specially designed to calm the senses.

The spa menu also features all-time favourites including a comprehensive menu of massages, body scrubs, body conditioners, facials and beauty treatments.
