Banyan Tree announces Adrian Croft as Director of Sales & Marketing for Banyan Tree Phuket

Singapore, 20 May 2011 – Banyan Tree Holdings Limited (“Banyan Tree” or “Group”), a leading manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels, spas and galleries, announces the appointment of Adrian Croft as the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Group’s flagship property, Banyan Tree Phuket, effective mid June 2011.
Mr Croft started his career at Banyan Tree in 2006 as the Director of Sales, UK where he successfully managed leisure accounts and business out of the UK. He also held the role of Director of Sales & Marketing for Angsana Riads Collection, Morocco where he was involved in pre-opening and opening of six riads, responsible for marketing plans, rates and sales strategy.
With the experience gained from his most recent role as Regional Director, Marketing – Europe, he will be a valuable asset in growing the market for Banyan tree Phuket, which has remained a favourite with European travellers since opening in 1994.
Mr Croft’s appointment comes at an opportune time as Banyan Tree Phuket is about to embark on repositioning campaigns for the premium villa categories including Double Pool Villa and Spa Pool Villa. The DoublePool Villas at Banyan Tree Phuket bring the concept of a ‘resort within a resort’ where each of the 24 villas have a land area of between 1,300 to 2,500sq m each, in one, two and three-bedroom configurations. Exclusively tucked away from the world and surrounded by private, expansive gardens, DoublePool Villas offer guests an oasis of tranquillity.
The new Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary presents a Sanctuary for The Senses with its niche 14-villa resort haven setting. Exclusively managed by award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, it will feature luxurious spa pool villa accommodation infused with spa touch points, healthy cuisine, award-winning spa and wellness experience.
The resort is designed for guests to embark on a journey of rejuvenation and wellness with experiences to indulge and soothe all senses. Guests can look forward to three packages – Spa Discovery for spa initiation, Spa Ultimate for unlimited massages and Retreat for The Senses for a holistic spa-centric journey – each tailored for a different level of pampering spa indulgence. All packages feature in-villa massages, welcome foot ritual, a wellness consultation with the Ayurvedic Doctor, and a range of complimentary activities including Morning Yoga at the Orchid Garden, Thai High Tea at The Cha lounge, early jog, kayaking, sunset beach volleyball to learning basic Thai.
Mr Croft’s replacement will be announced at a later date along with other appointments for the Regional Marketing Offices for Europe, Middle East and the Americas (EMEA).
