Banyan Tree announces Kenneth Law as Country Head – Hong Kong

Singapore– Banyan Tree Holdings Limited (“Banyan Tree” or “Group”), a leading manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels, spas and galleries, announces the appointment of Mr Kenneth Law as Country Head – Hong Kong, effective 1 April 2011.
This additional new role follows from his previous position as Assistant Vice President, Field Performance Support at Banyan Tree’s corporate office in Singapore. For the last three years, Mr Law led a team of specialists responsible for bringing new hotels to market speedily and effectively. His role also involved consulting with operating hotels on revenue performance and sales force management.
In his new position as Country Head – Hong Kong, Mr Law reports to Mr Arthur Kiong, Managing Director, Hotel Operations Asia Pacific and Senior Vice President, Group Marketing Services. Still retaining his field performance support responsibilities, his new role as Country Head – Hong Kong, will focus on driving the positive growth of outbound travel from Hong Kong and South China to Angsana and Banyan Tree properties globally.
“With Kenneth’s strong leadership skills and industry experience, we’ve continued to see through successful openings for the Group, as he works closely with our field sales and marketing teams. He is a great candidate to drive our outbound growth for the key markets of Hong Kong and South China, as we continually focus to drive our expansion in China,” said Mr Arthur Kiong. Mr Law’s appointment comes at a time when Banyan Tree will open 13 new properties in China from now till 2013. This year, Banyan Tree Macau will be the first property to open in China on 15 May, followed by Angsana Hangzhou, Banyan Tree Riverside, Shanghai and Banyan Tree Tianjin.
