Singapore, 19 January 2012– Banyan Tree Holdings Limited, a leading manager and developer of premium resorts, hotels, spas and galleries across the globe, announces several changes in its hotel management structure with effect from January 2012.              

Mr. Reinhold Johann is now Area General Manager – Hotel Operations, in Lang Co, Vietnam. In conjunction with a dedicated team, Reinhold will oversee the pre-opening of the group’s hotels in Laguna Lang Co., an integrated resort, later this year.  Reinhold began his career with Banyan Tree in 2007 as General Manager of Banyan Tree Seychelles, and was promoted to Area General Manager of Hangzhou, China, before his most recent appointment as General Manager of Banyan Tree Ungasan in June 2010.

Mr. Jamal Hussain is the new General Manager of Banyan Tree Ungasan, Bali, responsible for hotel operations and management along with maintaining close relations with the property’s owning company. Jamal was previously Banyan Tree’s Country Manager for Indonesia, lending his expertise and counsel to other hotels in the group’s Indonesia portfolio. Previous posts within the Banyan Tree family include Area General Manager for Laguna Bintan and Area General Manager, Maldives.

Mr. Anders Dimblad steps into a new role as General Manager of Banyan Tree Al Wadi in Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, overseeing operations for both the resort and beach club.  Anders has criss-crossed the globe since he began his career at Banyan Tree in 2003, including management stints at  Banyan Tree Seychelles, Angsana Ihuru, Angsana Hotel & Suites (Dubai) and Banyan Tree Bangkok. Prior to his current appointment, he was the General Manager of Banyan Tree Seychelles.

Mr. Frank Wesselhoefft joins Banyan Tree as General Manager of Banyan Tree Seychelles, bringing with him over 18 years of hospitality experience in locations as diverse as London, the Maldives, Vietnam and Thailand.  Frank was previously Resort Manager for Six Senses Hideaway Yao Noi, Thailand.

In their new roles, these newly appointed managers are responsible for achieving the business goals of their respective resorts, ensuring the maintenance of Banyan Tree’s high standards of hospitality and service.
