BANYAN TREE SPA DEBUTS IN VIETNAM AT LAGUNA LĂNG CÔ
Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam, February 2013 – Banyan Tree Lăng Cô, nestled along the coast of tranquil Central Vietnam, presents the world-renowned Banyan Tree Spa experience in a modern setting decorated in tones of Vietnam’s lush countryside. Overlooking the East Sea and framed by a three kilometre beach, the 280-hectare destination of Laguna Lăng Cô is where tropical jungles meet pristine coastlines.
Banyan Tree Spa brings its award-winning blend of Asian therapies, featuring massages and body treatments inspired by traditional Asian healing disciplines, to Vietnam for the very first time.
Inspired by the artistic heritage of past Vietnamese dynasties, the Spa boasts six magnificent spa pavilions with double massage beds set in an expansive area of 2,553 square metres. The architecture and design of this luxurious spa pays contemporary tribute to the cultural richness of the region. The spa pavilions feature modern interpretations of design elements seen in the traditional garden houses of Hue with interiors that are replete with traditional Vietnamese aesthetic themes.
Banyan Tree Spa, like the tropical and sacred tree that inspired its name, is an intimate retreat that blends romance and serenity with exotic sensuality, providing a sanctuary for the senses. A pioneer of the tropical garden spa concept, it is a haven for physical and spiritual renewal. Using a ‘high-touch, low-tech’ approach that celebrates human touch coupled with the use of natural herbs, spices and aromatic oils, the treatments are inspired by Asian traditions and practices that have been passed through the hands of many generations.
Signature Spa Treatments
First-time visitors to Banyan Tree Spa are encouraged to experience the Banyan Indulgences packages which include the Royal Banyan and Banyan Calm. The signature Royal Banyan therapy features the Royal Banyan Herbal Pouch Therapy where a herbal pouch dipped in warm Sesame Oil, complements the East-meets-West treatment techniques to improve blood circulation and muscular tension. The Jade Face Therapy improves skin condition and firms up facial muscles to enhance a glowing complexion.
Banyan Calm features a soothing Swedish-inspired therapy which is ideal for soothing tensed muscles and improving blood circulation. The therapy is complemented with a Butterfly Pea Body Scrub, which cleanses and purifies the skin before a Prunes Body Wrap. A therapeutic Pandanus Bath completes the experience, unique to Banyan Tree Spa Lăng Cô.
A rejuvenating Banyan Tree Spa innovation that combines body treatments with steam and shower facilities at the treatment bed, the luxurious Tropical Rainmist features two unique packages tailored for the ladies and gentlemen. Each package features a cascading Rain Shower that uplifts the senses, which is an ideal prelude to the body treatment that follows.
