The biennial Thailand Tourism Awards 2010 symbolise Thailand's 'Hallmarks of Excellence'. Awarded to nine exclusive leading local tourism businesses and associations, the awards recognise the finest achievements and outstanding contributions to the Thai tourism and represent the country's highest honours conferred for innovation and creativity in the field of sustainable tourism, conservation and environmental protection efforts. To reflect global trends and address new priorities on the national tourism agenda, the judging criteria also took into consideration issues related to the environment, actions taken in response to global warming/climate change, participation, sufficiency economy, good governance, corporate social responsibility and overall integration.
