BANYAN TREE SPA PHUKET WINS BEST SPA IN THE WORLD
Banyan Tree Phuket, the flagship property of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, has been awarded one of the highest accolades in travel – a Daily Telegraph Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Award (ULTRA) for its renowned Spa, Banyan Tree Spa Phuket.Voted the Best Spa In The World, the distinguished award was presented at a glittering lunch ceremony hosted at the Savoy hotel in London on 15 May 2012.
This was the Daily Telegraph ULTRA Awards’ fourth annual ceremony and was as star-studded as ever with several sporting celebrities presenting the awards to link with the Olympics sports theme in London this year. Boxing featherweight champion Barry McGuigan presented the awards with Charlotte Jackson, the Sky Sports news presenter. Other celebrity awards givers were Rory Underwood, the rugby champion, and Damon Hill and Eddie Jordan, Formula One racing champions. Also present was the international superstar singer Katie Melua and her husband, James Toseland, the world superbike champion.
