Qiantang Tidal Bore

Qiantang Tidal Bore is a popular attraction celebrated for hundreds of years, and sees up to 170,000 tide-watchers annually. The tidal bore happens during the spring tide with every full moon and is the strongest during autumn – also when the tide-watching festival is held (on the 18th day of the 8th month based on the Chinese calendar).
