This distinctive folk art features hand‑crafted bamboo frames, rice‑paper surfaces and landscape motifs inspired by Guilin’s scenery, blending traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy and seal‑stamp art. Hands‑On Experience
In‑house guests may reserve this heritage experience through the hotel front desk or concierge. Upon reservation, guests may visit the intangible‑heritage fan‑painting workshop located in Fuli Ancient Town.
Guests will select bamboo frames sourced from the Li River, blend natural plant pigments, paint Guilin‑style landscapes and carry out simple fan assembly, all under the tutelage of local master artisans.
The full traditional fan‑making craft involves over ten intricate ancient procedures. Curated for travellers, our experience features only the core creative stages. You may finish your artwork on‑site and take home your one‑of‑a‑kind hand‑painted fan as a special travel memento.
