Known as Zhuhai’s "centuries-old cultural landmark", Tangjiawan Ancient Town boasts strong Lingnan charm and modern humanistic heritage. Bluestone paths connect traditional houses with " wok-ear" gables, ancient ancestral halls and street-side arcades where the aroma of Cantonese Dim Sum still lingers. As the hometown of modern celebrities, it preserves their former residences and stories—wandering here feels like touching the gentle texture of time.

Sitting on the Yeli Island off the coastal Lovers Road, the Zhuhai Grand Theatre is the first opera house on the sea in China. The two magnificent, scallop-shaped buildings in semi-transparent white stand elegantly among the rich greenness of the island. Its viewing deck offers stunning vistas of the sparkling sea and lush mountains beyond.

At Xianglu Bay on the 28km Lovers' Road, the 8.7m granite Fishermaiden Statue (Zhuhai’s icon) holds a pearl. Take a stroll here with your sweetheart. Listen to the gentle flapping of the waves against the rocky coastline, and the rustling of the palms along the road. Stop for an overlook of the city Macao across the sea. Or ride a bike and feel the cool ocean breeze in your hair.

The largest wetland in Zhuhai, Qi'ao Mangrove Wetland Ecological Park is a 7- square kilometre half-moon shaped mangrove stretch arcoss the Qi’ao Island. Stroll down the wooden boardwalk through the leafy trees, and relax in the refreshing, humid air, as birds flap their wings and bounce around on the branches. Keep your eyes wide open to see if you can catch the crabs crawling through the mudflats.

Built in 1891 in Meixi Village to honor Chen Fang (late Qing Hawaii consul) and his family, this granite archway has vivid beast carvings. Nearby, Chen’s former residence has exquisite flower hall carvings.
