Restoring the Coral Reefs

Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Angsana Ihuru regularly organise coral planting activities for their guests. Using the ‘spider frame’ technique, our associates planted a total of 233 corals onto frames which maintenance divers then placed into coral nurseries. These frames stabilise the area and provide space to grow new corals.

An ‘Edible’ Golf Course

Laguna Golf Lang Co is an award-winning golf course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. A unique feature is its terrain – a course that weaves between trees, natural streams, through rock features and over rice paddy fields. From these rice paddy fields, up to 20 tonnes of rice is harvested every year and donated to the local community.

Clean the Beach, Save the Ocean

Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay recently organised a beach clean-up at a nearby fishing village, during which a team of associates collected a whopping 500kg of trash. By volunteering for beach clean-ups, you can keep plastic out of the ocean and away from innocent marine life.

In celebration of World Book Day on April 23, Banyan Tree Lijiang organised fun and interactive reading sessions for 46 students from a local primary school. Interweaving games and reading, they made the activity more engaging and entertaining for the kids.
