At Banyan Tree, we believe in creating long-term value and making a meaningful impact on destinations and communities, driving sustainable development through our core value of “Embracing the Environment, Empowering People”.
Our Stay for Good programme seeks to inspire and motivate guests by connecting them to local communities and environments through exceptional experiences. From local flavours to indigenous wellbeing traditions and artisan crafts, we are committed to protecting and celebrating the unique heritage of our destinations.
We work with the world's leading scientific benchmarking and certification group EarthCheck to measure our energy, emissions, water, waste and paper use; chemical and pesticide use; and community involvement on properties.
From local vendors to global procurement platforms, we have carefully selected every producer and supplier we collaborate with to ensure they are in line with our sustainable credo, while providing meaningful employment, upskilling and educational opportunities for associates.
We launched the Greater Good Grants (GGG) as a way to help preserve the world's most beautiful destinations, promote diverse cultures and nurture our host communities. Our grantees are strategically chosen as we fund organisations and individuals focusing on the areas of biodiversity and conservation, resource use and waste management, climate change and resilience, education and empowerment, health and protection, and culture and livelihood.
