Mamula Island is a place to ask why. To speak to creators, makers, and artists. Our Artist-in-Residence program invites creatives to inspire and be inspired, while workshops and exhibitions foster new ideas. Throughout the year, we host opera, classical music, and celebrate Montenegrin artistry with exhibitions and traditional craft workshops.
Operatic & Classical Music
To inject further romance into our walls, we host evenings of opera and music within the fort’s atrium under the clear night sky.
Last season we brought the Operosa Music Festival to our shores for four summer spectacles of piano and opera recitals, chamber concerts, solo guitar and instrument evenings, and modern dance.
Artists In Residence
To acquaint and immerse guests in the regional artistic scene, Artists-in-Residence programs run throughout the season. Expert creatives are invited to draw inspiration from Mamula’s tales and terrains to spawn exhibitions and maker sessions.
Last season our partnership with Balkan…Projects - an art initiative promoting regional talent - saw three artists conduct interactive workshops that encouraged guests to find their inner artist.
