The spectacular Grand Palace is one of the most famous landmarks. It is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. About 40 minutes by taxi from the hotel. Alternatively, take the BTS to Saphan Taksin and hop on a river boat to the Grand Palace (50 mins)
